The Heat Optimist Club of S.E. Tucson recently honored two Tucson teachers with their Partner in Education Award. Darrell Lord teaches Social Studies at Corona Foothills Middle School. He was recognized for creating 150 Social Studies lessons for zoom for middle school teachers in Vail School District. Kelcy Bronson teaches Kindergarten at Prince Elementary School. She assisted the Heat Optimist Club Oratorical Zone Contest as a judge. We appreciate the effort of these teachers to go above and beyond their teaching duties to serve their schools and communities. The teachers were recognized during our September Zoom club meeting. The Heat Optimist Club is a service organization that serves the Vail School District Community.
