Thursday, May 11th, found the community of Vail in celebration at the big “V” near Acacia Elementary School. The cause for the celebration was the removal of a major roadblock — the ability to vote on Vail becoming incorporated with the possibility of Vail finally gaining its own identity.
Several excited members of the community spoke about what incorporating Vail meant to them including MaRico Tippett, JJ Lamb, and Brycen Fuller. Brycen, a young Vail resident said, “I grew up in Vail. I have a lot of memories here, and I think that this is great news.”
Vail takes pride in its dedication to the community and its infrastructure. As Vail continues to grow, it faces the challenge of maintaining its small-town appeal while accommodating increasing population and development. With incorporation parks, trails, and recreational facilities will be regularly maintained, offering residents and visitors ample opportunities to enjoy the beauty of the Vail outdoors.
Vail residents are encouraged to become informed on what incorporation could mean for our community. For more information, follow their Facebook page Incorporate Vail AZ, or their website www.loveourvailaz.com.
