Between the two sets of railroad tracks on Colossal Cave Road in Vail is a gem of a store. Since the Vail Depot Thrift Store opened a few years ago, shoppers from as far away as Benson have discovered “finds” at very reasonable prices.

Whether you’re looking for home goods, a sundress or blouse, jewelry, shoes, home décor, puzzles or books, you’ll probably find it at The Vail Depot Thrift Store. It’s the perfect place to shop if you’re outfitting a young adult for a new apartment, or just looking for unique accent pieces for your home. Every day brings new treasures to the floor.

Through the generous donations from community members, the store always has racks, shelves, and tables full of items—some very little used and tastefully displayed.

And here’s the best part: when you shop at The Depot, the money you spend supports the Resources Vail Food Bank. Our food bank provides food on a monthly and weekly basis, backpacks with balanced nutrition for the weekends for eligible children, and meals for some homebound residents of our area.

Please consider donating your gently used items to the Depot Thrift Store and bring donations to the side door during open hours of operation.

Store and donation hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00– 2:00 and Saturday 9:00 – 2:00.

Neither The Depot or The Food Bank could operate without our volunteers. Please consider joining a group of fun, dedicated volunteers for a shift each week. To apply, stop in, or go online to https://resourcesvail.org/volunteer/.
