The Del Lago Women’s Golf Association (DLWGA) invites women golfers to join our league. DLWGA brings together a community of women of all skill levels to promote camaraderie and love for the game of golf. Centering on fun competitions to enhance knowledge of the game and develop social friendships, our league provides a supportive and welcoming experience. The league started in 2014 and last season we had 40 members.
We play every Monday morning. This year our league’s season begins October 17, 2022, and ends May 15, 2023. From mid-May through September is informal, casual golf. Golfers must be 18 years of age and carry a handicap. No handicap? No problem. A handicap can be established while playing with the club. We are guided by USGA Rules of Golf. Don’t know the rules? No problem there either, our friendly group of women are more than willing to help with learning the rules and a rules book is provided to each golfer.
The Del Lago Golf Course management welcomes women golfers and is very helpful to our league. Golfing at Del Lago is very affordable. The golf course itself is beautiful and in excellent condition. There is a practice facility and golf instruction is available. The course also has a lovely restaurant and most of our women stay after the game to visit the 19th-Hole and have lunch together. It is a wonderful way to get to know each other better.
