On Sunday, October 16th a local group of women (Del Webb Chacha’s) will be representing cancer survivors with a breast cancer awareness walk at the UA Tech Park (9070 S. Rita Rd.) from 8am to 12pm. The event provides all participants the opportunity to help save lives, ensure no one faces breast cancer alone, and ultimately move forward in the goal to one day live in a world without it. Breast cancer is a disease that affects both men and women. This project, sponsored by the American Cancer Society will help the currently 600,000 women living with the disease in southern Arizona. There will be vendors and food trucks in addition to the walkers and local supporters.
