By The Rev. Dr. Candace J. Lansberry, Desert Skies United Methodist Church

For far too many years, insiders and outsiders have defined what we call “church” . . . some people are “in” and “saved” and others are “out,” “lost,” or “unsaved.”

Have you ever felt like a third wheel? Life on the outside of the “in” crowd can make it difficult to fit in, to feel “at home.” This summer we will be exploring the Gospel of Luke, which chronicles Jesus’ ministry with those on the so-called “outside.” What can we learn from these stories and Jesus’ call to turn the inside out and the outside in? At Desert Skies United Methodist Church, we believe all are welcome in God’s kingdom and hope you will join us on that journey. Sundays. 11:15 AM at the Vail Innovation Center. Come see what we are about, and meet our new Campus Pastor, Michael Leedy.
