Dear Editor:

We would like to voice support for Catherine Kaiser’ s superbly done letter to the editor and much needed outrage at the powers who could easily do something about roadside trash. My wife and I were recently dumbfounded by the trash at I-10 and Valencia. No question, worst ever. How can people defile our pristine desert in such a profane manor?

Dear Editor:

If you vote by mail using what is called the Permanent Early Ballot Voting list (PEVL) you may be in for a surprise if bills proposed by Republicans in the Arizona State House and Senate pass. There are too many to list here, but the most egregious are the following: SB1713 Which requires Early Voters (i.e.PEVL) to file an affidavit with your ballot along with Identification Information. So there goes the principle of anonymity in who you vote for. HB2369 Requires ALL Mail-in ballots to be notarized. I may rethink retirement and find out how to be a notary. And finally, HB2369 repeals the PEVL (i.e. no more mail-in ballots—we all get to stand in line).

All of these bills were still in process at the writing of this letter. Things are changing quickly, so you may want to check bill status.

If you want to secure your ability to vote early by mail, Contact David Gowan, Becky Nutt and Gail Griffin. Go to https://www.azleg.gov/memberroster/ for their contact information.

Dear Editor:

Too bad the local availability was missed by the Daily Star in their Feb. 7 run-down of where to get shots. I signed up thru Pima County, but there was no mention of a Vail location. So, I am going to TMC – would love to have gone locally.
