As our communities start a new school year, the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona are also kicking off a new membership year! The year of Girl Scouting is filled with friendship, fun, and new adventures. The programs and activities for the fall include STEM, outdoor adventures, life skills, entrepreneurship opportunities, and so much more.
Some much anticipated fun STEM offerings for the fall season are Super Sloppy Science, where Girl Scouts will dive into some super sloppy experiments, and a LEGO Building Challenge, where they will embark on a trip to Bricks and Minifigs to practice their engineering skills with innovative builds, build prototypes for new inventions, and even design their own LEGO figure.
Outdoor adventure awaits with archery where Girl Scouts will spend a day at the range honing their archery skills and improving their shot with fun games and competitions and axe throwing at our newest range where they will learn how to throw like a pro with instruction, games, and competitions.
In Vail, Club Girl Scouts meets after school at Ocotillo Ridge Elementary once a week. Club Girl Scouts is for girls in grades K-3, and is offered as one of the school’s after school clubs. The group earns badges with themes in Space Science, Financial Literacy, Civics, and more.
