Swan Lake is widely known as one of the most quintessential classical ballets out there. With a riveting score, a uniquely detailed corps de ballet, and some of the most complex characterizations ever to hit the ballet stage; it is often considered a behemoth performance to undertake. Few students at the pre-professional level of dance are given the opportunity to delve into Swan Lake, which is why Integra Dance Arts felt it was a necessary part of the training to provide to its dancers of all ages. At the end of April, IDA ballet dancers in all levels and ages, ranging from 3 to adult, took the stage at Vail Theatre of the Arts in a superb undertaking of the great Swan Lake. It was a breathtaking experience for audience and dancers alike.

What makes IDA so unique is the strong multi-faceted training of dancers, in which they study these classical ballets and cross train in many contemporary styles of dance, including hip hop, jazz, musical theatre, and tap. Dancers performed an impressive array of contemporary choreography in their yearly Spotlight Performance last month as well. It is such a pleasure to bring the performing arts to the local Vail Community and share our love of dance through training, outreach and performances.

As we enter the days of summer, we invite new and seasoned dancers of all ages to join us in our variety of summer camps, evening classes, and intermediate/advanced dance intensives. Integra Dance Arts always welcomes new students and looks forward to meeting you at our upcoming Open Houses and classes. Please visit www.integradancearts.com for more information!
