Six years ago, the Serial Grillers food truck took its first ride to its first location. The goal of the Millers brothers was simply to create something for themselves and live the American dream. Those humble beginnings have taken them on a wild ride as they’ve experienced rapid growth. “We show up every day because this once small dream has blossomed into large personal and professional expectations for ourselves and our employees. We pride ourselves on promoting from within for management opportunities and the recent expansion we have experienced has been great in the fact that we are able to reward our employees with professional growth opportunities,” said co-founder Travis Miller.
Part of their rapid expansion has brought Serial Grillers to Southeast Tucson, where they recently opened their restaurant in Rita Ranch. “We didn’t choose Southeast Tucson, it chose us!” Although the founders have had their eye on this part of town for a while, they struggled to find a location that would work with their restaurant. During their search, several of their Facebook followers messaged them about a potential location — the old Chuy’s restaurant on Houghton. It didn’t take long for them to snag the location and for the past four months the team has been renovating the space to be Serial Grillers ready.
The team celebrated their grand opening on September 21st and now looks forward to serving this community — especially first responders. All military, law enforcement officers, and first responders get 10% off all food items at Serial Grillers. It’s their way of saying thanks. In addition, Serial Grillers wants to support the local area. They frequently try to support worthy endeavors through gift card donations for local raffles whenever they can swing it.
Ultimately, they want to know that their doors are wide open and they’re eager to welcome the community into their new space. “Please know that you all are welcome at our restaurants as family, and we are here to help you secure some killer food and brews,” said Miller. “We look forward to being a part of this area for a long time to come!”
