I cannot believe how quickly 2021 flew by. I would not consider 2021 an easy year on many fronts, and I’m looking forward to this new year and a fresh start. With that, we have many things to look forward to in 2022 here in Ward 4.

Along with the continuation of so many projects that you see everyday, we will be rolling out a Ward 4 Community Participatory Budget Program at the beginning of the year. This program will give you, as highly-valued community members, the opportunity to allocate City of Tucson funds toward small-scale Ward 4 infrastructure projects and improvements. Examples include beautifying a community space or adding traffic calming measures to specific neighborhood streets. My team and I are very excited to work closely with you on this initiative.

Check out our website, www.tucsonaz.gov/ward-4, for more details about upcoming meetings and our 2022 Ward 4 Virtual Town Hall series. These town halls are designed to provide you with the opportunity to receive important updates and ask questions about City of Tucson core services:

March: Tucson Police, Tucson Fire, and 911

June: Department of Transportation and Mobility

September: Parks and Recreation

Wishing each of you a year of peace, good health, and prosperity.

Nikki
