With elections fast approaching, it is important to know who is on your ballot. Local elections are often more important than national ones because these are the candidates that will make decisions for your community. Vail Parent Network is proud to endorse Allison Pratt and Callie Tippett for the Vail School District Governing Board. Allison and Callie are both returning school board members and are running for another 4-year term.

Allison has served for 5 years on the school board and has 3 children in the district. She has actively served in her church and school community for many years. When speaking to Allison, she stated, “I am running to uphold Vail’s core values and to invest in the success of our community. I know all the decisions we make impact a child and I am committed to meet the needs of our students.”

Callie Tippett has served on the school board for 4 years. Callie is also actively involved in her school and church community and has 3 children that attend the district. Callie says, “I am running for a second term because I have seen first-hand as a parent and community advocate the importance of VUSD in our community. I have strived to be an effective board member by engaging in the community and understanding the needs of families and students. I enjoy the process of working our way through difficult decisions, where parents, teachers, administration, and community each have a critical part in finding a solution.”

Vail Parent Network Steering Committee is proud to endorse Allison Pratt and Callie Tippett for the Vail School District Governing Board. We are confident that these two candidates will maintain the integrity and high-quality education that VUSD provides.
