Trinity Peters from Empire High and Anthony Aguilar from Cienega High, have been recognized as 18 Under 18 Junior Achievers. The program recognizes individuals under 18 years of age who have demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit, extraordinary skill set, proven leadership, and whose activities have made their community better. Those recognized represent the future leaders who are making a difference in the community. The 18 under 18 program is co-sponsored by Junior Achievement of Arizona and Republic Media.

Trinity plans on attending Colorado State University – Fort Collins, majoring in environmental engineering. Trinity is the captain of the Vail School District’s 1828 BoxerBot team.

Anthony has already published in a scholarly journal and his work at the University of Arizona has helped to manipulate the DNA of a mosquito so that it wouldn’t transfer to humans. Congratulations to both students!
