Attention choral singers! If you have been missing the opportunity to sing in harmony with others during the past two years, you will be excited to know that The Vail Chorale is returning to in-person music-making for the Spring 2022 season!
The Vail Chorale is the Greater Vail Area’s non-auditioned community chorus, welcoming singers of all skill levels, from ages 18 and up, who enjoy the camaraderie of blending their voices in song. We sing a varied repertoire, from pop standards, folk ballads, jazz arrangements, Broadway and contemporary tunes, to classical styles from across the centuries. The Chorale has been a fixture in Vail’s cultural scene since 2011, presenting Spring and Fall concerts each year, until Covid-19 abruptly put choral singing on hiatus in 2020.
Now we welcome both returning singers and newcomers to join us for the Spring 2022 season! Weekly rehearsals begin on January 18th and concerts are scheduled for April 9th and 10th. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Cienega High School, 12775 East Mary Ann Cleveland Way, Room 218. Along with fellow members of the Arizona Choral Arts Association and other singing groups across the country, the Chorale is requiring that all singers be vaccinated. Masks will also be required until it is no longer a safety concern.
We also welcome our new Director, Melissa Hale. Well, she’s not exactly new: she has been our assistant director since 2011, and we are delighted to welcome her in her new position.
