The Southern Arizona Chamber of Commerce Association has launched Southern Arizona Chamber Benefits Plan with UnitedHealthcare. “Collaborating with UnitedHealthcare and the other 13 Chambers across Southern Arizona exemplifies the collective impact we can achieve when many entities work together toward impactful goals for the betterment of businesses,” said Amber Smith, president and CEO of the Tucson Metro Chamber.
Employers may see lower health care costs from a portfolio of plans that may not always be available to small businesses, in addition to the shared-risk pool. Members will be able to choose from a variety of Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and Health Savings Account (HSA) health plans from UnitedHealthcare. Members also will have access to UnitedHealthcare’s care provider network of more than 1.2 million physicians and care professionals, 6,500 hospitals and other care facilities nationwide.
The Southern Arizona Chamber of Commerce Association will begin quoting these plans for eligible member groups beginning today, for a Feb. 1, 2019, enrollment date. To be eligible for coverage under these plans, businesses must be a member of any of the chambers in the Southern Arizona Chamber of Commerce Association and have 2-50 employees.
