The race to fill the seat on the Pima County Board of Supervisors, being vacated by Supervisor Ray Carroll, will be determined by the outcome of the August 30th primary vote. Three Republicans have filed to have their names appear on the ballot. There are no candidates for the Democratic party.
The Greater Vail Area Chamber of Commerce and the Vail Parent Network will hold a candidates forum on Wednesday, July 27th, 5:30 p.m., at Empire High School located at 10701 E. Mary Ann Cleveland Way.
The three Republican candidates, John Backer, Steve Christy, and Marla Closen will address their platforms and meet afterward informally with the audience.
