Carona Cares! Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Who We Are: Corona Cares is a not-for-profit community-based neighborhood support volunteer program and a member of the Neighbors Care Alliance under the direction of Pima Council on Aging.
We have been operating since July 2010 and run solely by volunteers who provide a variety of services to those living in the Corona de Tucson area that may be in need of a helping hand.
What We Do: We provide friendship, assistance and reprieve to the elderly, disabled, and or individuals with temporary needs and or no family. We offer caregivers and or family members some respite relief and comfort knowing someone is caring and looking out for their loved ones.
Who We Serve:Neighbors within Corona de Tucson Fire District (26 sq. miles)
Dawn Rd (N) / Houghton Rd (S) – Wentworth Rd (E) / Ocotillo View Rd (W)
Services Offered: Friendly Wellness Checks, Phone Calls or Visits. Rides to Appointments, Grocery Store, Social Events, or Errands for Homebound. Light Home Maintenance or Light Yard Work. Respite Care Relief for Family Members and/or Caregivers. To the Ill, Recently Released from Hospital/Rehab or those Suffering a Family Tragedy
All Services are free! The program has no funding source and operates on the generosity of our volunteers, neighborhood residents, donations and fundraising efforts.
