What We Do:
Meal Delivery Service – We provide special diet, medical tailored and regular diet home-delivered meals for people of all ages. Clients receive two freshly-prepared meals each day, Monday through Friday, ready to eat for lunch and dinner. Meals are delivered daily by caring volunteers, a unique feature of our service.
Friendly Visits and Well Checks – Clients and their family members really like the comfort of knowing that volunteers check-in daily to make sure everything is okay, and reach out to emergency medical services or next of kin if help is needed.
Pet Food & Incontinence Supplies – Program participants receive pet food and incontinence supplies at no charge, if needed. It’s an added benefit of our service.
Who We Serve: Mobile Meals of Southern Arizona serves older persons, people living with disabilities, and people living with medical, dexterity and/or mobility issues who cannot shop for or prepare their own food.
Locations Served: City of Tucson and most of Pima County (except Northwest Tucson), including Green Valley and Sahuarita. We recently expanded service to the far west, southwest, Vail and Corona de Tucson communities.
Hours of operation: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (Administration)
Monday – Friday 11am – 1pm (Deliveries)
What is the cost for a meal? Meals are priced on a sliding scale, ranging from 50¢ to $5, for a total cost of $1-10/day for two meals daily. Food Stamps and Mercy Care are accepted, and financial assistance is available for low-income participants.
NEW FREE MEALS – COVID 19 CARES ACT FUNDING: Mobile Meals recently received more than $130,000 to offer free meals and delivery to people in need through November 2020. Please contact us for more information about eligibility.
