Donors delivering to Desert Willow Elementary last year.

In Vail USD we believe in the Power of Community. Our Angel Tree Program is an active example of this beautiful power. This program specifically helps children and families who might not otherwise be able to afford Christmas presents and basic needs. Our Student Services Coordinators and Counselors work tirelessly to identify our families who would benefit from this resource. Our Angel Tree program helps to meet our families’ needs while ensuring that this season is filled with joy instead of financial stress.

We are looking for donors who would like to make a positive impact actively. Every donation, large or small, helps us to grow stronger and healthier families together. Donors are given a wish list created by each child. We ask that each child receive one wish, one want, some clothing items, and small stocking stuffers from their list. Presents are delivered to the campus the child attends no later than December 11th, unwrapped and labeled with an anonymous Angel number.

Donors can be individuals, groups, or businesses. An activity like this can help to strengthen your group culture and encourage teamwork work all while extending a helping hand to a family in our community. We are flexible with how you would like to donate. You can adopt one child, a family, or more! We can always use the gift of new shoes, blankets, hoodies, hygiene products, or gift cards.

Life can be hard but we are all in this together. In VailUSD we believe that education is a community effort. The Angel Tree program is a unique way for us to connect as a community and share the joy of the season.

If you would like more information about donating or if you need assistance, please email Jill Wells at wellsji@vailschooldistrict.org or call/text, 520-221-9207.
