I had a really good dream, and then I had it again the next night. It was daytime in the dream, and it was really sunny outside, and I felt very happy and carefree. Out of nowhere, two silver dollars just appeared on this really narrow path on the ground. The silver dollars were side-by-side on the path, and the path was made of pebbles. The path wasn’t much wider than the two side-by-side silver dollars, and there was bright green grass on either side of the path. The frame of what I saw in the dream was like this close-up view of everything. I saw a few feet of the path in front of me, I saw the silver dollars, and I saw my hand reaching for them. The sun was shining directly on my hand and the silver dollars, and as I was picking up the dollars, two more just magically appeared a few inches ahead of the two that I had just picked up. This stream of sunlight kept shining on the dollars and on my hand as I reached out to pick up the next two. Then, after I picked those two up, two more suddenly appeared a few inches ahead of the two that I just picked up. I just kept slowly inching down the pathway in the sunlight, picking up more and more silver dollars that just kept appearing out of nowhere. Then I woke up. I know that dollars are symbols for money, but I am curious about why they came in twos and why they were side-by-side.”
I would agree that this is an extremely positive dream. Silver dollars are symbols for money, power, and financial success—and can serve as a symbol of personal luck and good fortune, much like a wishbone or a four-leaf clover. Pathways usually symbolize pathways in the dreamer’s waking life—and the green grass on either side is a symbol of life and growth in life. In addition, the green can symbolize new or renewed life, hope, youth, and vitality. However, because the pathway is only wide enough for the two dollars, this pathway seems to specifically tie in to the symbolism of those dollars. The sunlight shining on the pathway is definitely a positive symbol, with sunlight in dreams representing truth, happiness, immortality, and divinity. As a result, this sunlit pathway can represent a current, positive pathway in the dreamer’s life—or it can represent the dreamer’s desire to move in a new and more powerful and successful direction in life.
However, as noted by the dreamer, what appears to be significant is that the two silver dollars keep appearing side-by-side in this dream—and continue to move forward on the pathway in this side-by-side formation. The fact that the silver dollars keep showing up in pairs would most likely indicate some type of partnership. After contacting the dreamer, it was learned that she had just renewed ties with someone she had been very unhappily separated from, and she was extremely “happy and care-free” about their renewed relationship and excited for their future together. Reconnecting with this person had changed her perspective on life and her future—and had made her view problems and issues in life with less concern. The dreamer’s renewed partnership had made her feel that her opportunities in life were limitless—and that she was moving towards a bright and successful future, full of happiness and boundless good fortune.
