Do you remember your dreams each morning when you awaken from sleep? How do you feel and what emotions come to the surface? Some may wake up afraid that they’re back in high school, in a sweat over a threat, or excited by the embrace of another. Even still, some may awaken feeling that they truly experienced the dream. Others practice lucid dreaming. The images that pass through our mind during our sleep cycle can illuminate what is currently going on in our own worlds.
If you dissect the parts of your dream- the dream ego, setting, characters, and events, you can discover a whole world in your unconscious. These inner-workings are the foundation on which your conscious runs. This insight into the deep can be your key to understanding why you do what you do.
Dreams are a theatrical play with various acts, scenes, and characters that symbolize your experience in waking life. If we determine what each piece represents, we have a story that can shed light on our current circumstance. When you segment the dream into the separate scenes that unfold, you can ascertain the content and context of the conversation your mind is having. When you clarify the who’s and what’s of the dream, you can also clarify their meaning and importance for you.
How do we establish what represents what? You can explore by writing, using a pendulum, meditating, or muscle testing.
Crucial questions to ask are:
- Does the dream image represent the actual real-life thing or symbolize something within my own mind (internal or external)?
- Is the dream image an aspect of yourself or is it other than you (needs to be released)?
- Is the dream descriptive (current circumstance) or predictive (future foretold)?
It’s also important to note that some dreams occur as an actual Spiritual/energetic happening while you sleep. These are not to be interpreted, but taken as an experience of your own.
