From Nikki Lee
Hello friends. I can’t believe we are already in May of 2020. This year has been like nothing any of us could have anticipated, and I hope you are all doing as well as is possible during this time. This month poses many unanswered questions, just like the months before. For those fortunate to have remained healthy during this global pandemic, will we remain healthy? What will our summer look like, and will we be able to travel at all? What will the 2020-2021 school year look like when our kids are supposed to head back? Will our local businesses survive this economic crisis? Will we survive this economic crisis?
I am in this with you, and those questions play through my mind just like yours. While none of us have all of the answers just yet, my team and I in the Ward 4 office stand ready to support our constituents and businesses during this time. It is my job as a City Councilwoman to create policies that support the entire City of Tucson while strongly advocating for Ward 4. As a long term planner, I want to ensure we are prepared when it is time to get “back to business as usual”, therefore I am hosting a three part Virtual Summer Town Hall Series. We still have core services to deliver and we want to hear from you, especially this month regarding roads and transportation.
Our first Ward 4 Virtual Town Hall Summer session will be with the Department of Transportation and Mobility on May 27th, from 5:30-6:30PM. Directions on how to log into the virtual town halls are posted on the City of Tucson Ward 4 webpage at www.tucsonaz.gov/ward-4.
Thank you for your role in ensuring our community stays strong. I encourage you to keep supporting our local Tucson businesses. Together we will get through this.
