Rita Rd Emergency Closure at I-10
Nightly full closures of I-10 Westbound are still ongoing until the end of September. Traffic will be detoured onto the off ramp and back on to I-10 during the nighttime hours.
Rita Rd. will be closed during this operation. Traffic on Rita Rd. will be open in both directions during the day.
Valencia Extension to Old Spanish Trail
Work continues the new bridge over the Pantano wash. Paving along the new Valencia connection is also underway. The new road in front of Mica Mountain High School has been paved (see photo).

Houghton/I-10 Interchange.
This project is well underway. The westbound off and eastbound on ramps have been closed until late November. Clearing of trees and brush will be ongoing for some time while crews prepare to begin building the new bridge. Bridge piers will be drilled and installed along the west side of Houghton and should begin the week of 09/21/2020. Nightly closures will be needed to install temporary concrete barriers along I-10. The I-10 mainline will be maintained thru this phase of work. Please pay attention and follow all traffic control devices.
