Valencia Extension to Old Spanish Trail
The Pantano Wash bridge deck was poured in mid-August. The Contractor is now working on traffic barriers so that the road can open in December. The opening of this new stretch of Valencia is getting closer by the day. Stay tuned for further updates

Houghton/I-10 Interchange
Work on the new Westbound off ramp and Eastbound on ramp are well underway. Crews will be moving dirt and preparing the base for the new ramps. Crews on the West side of the project are drilling the holes for the new bridge support piers. A lot of activity is ongoing throughout this project. Removal of trees and brush are also underway to allow crews to begin prepping the areas for ramp construction along I-10. Please pay attention and stay alert while driving thru this area. Periodic lane restrictions may occur during the nighttime hours to allow crews to move dirt and install concrete barriers. Traffic alerts will be sent out for these closures.
Houghton/Valencia to Mary Ann Cleveland
The speed on Houghton Rd has been reduced to 25 mph from Mary Ann Cleveland to Valencia Rd. Crews from Borderland have begun the process of removing trees & medians. Traffic shifts will take place while this process is completed. Drainage and box culvert work will begin shortly. A lot of traffic travels this section of roadway each day; there will be a lot of activity in this area. Please slow down and watch for equipment working along the roadway. I would expect speed enforcement on this project to occur quite frequently.
