Christmas is coming soon and some of you might be thinking of hosting a party. Planning a Christmas party well in advance is essential so you can make a success out of it. This means setting a convenient date and location, identifying a theme, decorating your party venue and making food and drinks for guests.

Making your Christmas theme work and hanging party decorations are important to the success of the occasion. For example, your theme might be winter wonderland or traditional Christmas. Hence, you will choose decorations that will bring these themes and elements to life. Choosing the right color combination is also crucial. For maximum impact, select hues that go well together such as gold, red and green or according to your motif.

Walls: Decorate walls with snowflakes and add glitter jingle bells. There are also paper rolls that you can easily attach to the walls with Christmas themes. It can be snow flurries, Santa and his helpers, Christmas trees and much more.

Doors: For your doors, you can hang silver wreaths, stockings or mistletoe. String decorations of snowflakes, flurries or cane candies are also great for decorating doorways.

Lights: Lights are crucial in defining the mood of your party venue or home. Wrap lights in paper lanterns or hang them in the corners of ceilings. Liven up porch lights with ribbons and snowflakes. Votive and wax candles make excellent accessories and can be placed on a buffet or side tables. Special lights for a dance floor can be installed to create the party mood. Consider releasing snowflake confetti at the end of the night’s last song for a dramatic effect.

Christmas Trees: Decorate trees with bows, balls, pine cones and garland lights. Include boa garlands to dress up your trees.

Tables: It is important for your tables to look attractive not only in the presentation of food and drinks, but also the harmonious placement of décor. Use a plain table cloth in solid Christmas colors. To animate surfaces, put fresh flowers, silver or snowflake spray centerpieces. You can also use ornaments and pine cones as place or name cards. Think of adding miniature Christmas trees to reinforce the festive season.
