Houghton Road Bridge

The Houghton Bridge project is currently advertised and taking construction bids. A contractor should be on board by mid to late December.  Construction will begin in the new year.

This bridge project will be constructed in two phases:

The first phase will keep traffic on the existing bridge, while we construct a new bridge (three lanes) next to the existing bridge (currently two lanes).  Once this new bridge is completed, we will shift traffic over to the new bridge.

The second phase will include demolishing the existing bridge and building another bridge (three lanes) where the old bridge was located, and when this work is completed, we will adjust traffic to using both bridges.  One bridge will be for northbound traffic, and the other will be for southbound traffic.

Construction is estimated to take two years to complete.

Along with expanded weekday and weekend hours, the Center also will feature specialty rotations, which could include services from OBGYN to orthopedics, dermatology, cardiology, psychiatry and more. The clinic is expected to begin serving patients by the end of the year.
