Vail Academy and High School

Valedictorian Daniel Gately will be attending ASU enrolled in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College in the fall pursuing a degree in elementary education. Mr. Gately cites his mother, Kathryn, as his inspiration, writing that she “has dedicated selfless service to my community and my school.”

Salutatorian Julianna Roper will be attending Wichita State University in Kansas. She plans on studying mechanical engineering. Ms. Roper has been inspired by her English teacher, Mrs. Peters and her parents.

Cienega High School

Valedictorian Caleb Files will be attending the University of Arizona pursuing a dual major in philosophy and economics. Mr. Files has found inspiration in Franklin Delano Roosevelt, noting that ”FDR cared about those less fortunate without ever needing to. He was born into a family where he could have had or done anything he had wanted, yet in his political life he would become the man best known for the New Deal programs as a champion for the poor, young, and old.”

Salutatorian Ben Colson will study at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, with a planned major in electrical engineering. Mr. Colson has been inspired by Jesus.

Andrada Polytechnic High School

Valedictorian Morgan Elizabeth Beggs will be attending Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. Ms. Beggs plans to study behavioral neuroscience. Ms. Beggs recognizes Ms. Jessica Morse, her English Teacher and Academic Advisor, as being a source of inspiration for her.

Salutatorian Annabella Pierotti will be attending the University of Arizona Honors College. She plans to major in physiology to prepare for medical school. She desires to become a surgeon. Ms. Pierotti appreciates all her family has done to help her get where she is today, specifically cites her father as a source of inspiration, as she writes “He was the one to really spark my interest in the medical field because he is a firefighter/ paramedic. I admire his ability and knowledge that he uses to heal people.”

Empire High School

Valedictorian Autumn Lardinais will be attending the University of Arizona Honors College and majoring in biochemistry.

Salutatorian Zoey Zhao will be attending the University of California at San Diego and studying neurobiology.

At press time, we were unable to find out who Ms. Lardinais and Ms. Zhao cite as providing them with inspiration.
