Valedictorian Jordyn Kruse
After high school, I plan to attend the University of Arizona to study business.
During my freshman year of high school, I was diagnosed with a chronic disease and had to take a step back from school to focus on my health. After learning how to manage my health, I had the opportunity to attend Pantano High School to recover my credits and graduate early, despite setbacks due to my illness. My biggest inspiration has always been my mom. Seeing how hardworking and resilient she is has taught me to commit to something and put my best effort into it.
Salutatorian Timahny Purdie-Fidler
I want to see where life takes me. I have been looking at going into the trades, possibly welding or commercial driver’s license. Life is about learning though; gathering information while you are going places. Life takes hard work and patience. Ultimately, things are on God’s timing. The challenges have been many. The hardest thing was teaching myself that there is nobody to do things for you. You have to put the effort in yourself. I was in junior year, my grades were slipping- I had people in my corner to help me but ultimately I had put the work in- nobody can do it for you. I had thought things would just come easy…they didn’t. Despite the support, you need to put the effort in. My Uncle. We had lost the head of the household when I was young. At 24, my uncle took over all responsibilities, going to work every day, being consistent and never making excuses, alway taking care of all of us. It changed my life and set an example. He taught me “If you put in the effort, everything else comes with it.
