As a recently retired educator of 36 years, I wholeheartedly support the Vail School District override. Vail has proven it is one of the top districts in the state by having above average test scores (61% higher than Arizona’s average), a 96% graduation rate, and scholarship awards of over $14,000,000. The 12.5% override will cost a homeowner $3.25 for each $100,000 of a home’s value. This amount is a small price to pay to ensure that quality education can continue at Vail. It is time to invest in the children of today because they will be the decision makers of tomorrow. Help the district continue the excellent education provided to its students. Please vote yes on Prop 449.
