For the 13th consecutive year, Santa Claus will be parking his sled on the roof of our building and dropping in to see the good kids in Southeast Tucson and Vail!

Date: Saturday, December 7th

Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Location: 10222 E. Rita Road

Kids: Remember to bring you self-addressed letter for Santa – he may just write you back! Also, don’t forget to pick up your “Goody Bag” before you leave.

Parents: Take as many pictures as you like to record the special moment with Santa. Santa’s Helpers will be on-hand to help.

Who is Santa Claus? Saint Nicholas of Myra, a 4th century Greek Bishop, was the first “Santa” and was famous for his generous gifts to the poor.

In the Netherlands, Santa was known as “Sinterklass,” a presumed dependent of Saint Nicholas.  In England, “Sinterklass” was merged with another English character, Father Christmas, and the name “Santa Claus” was born.

Thomas Nast immortalized Santa Claus with an illustration in an 1863 issue of Harper’s Weekly. In 1869, a poem wrote that Santa’s home was near the North Pole, where it remains today.
