The Pima County Small Business Commission today named its 2015 Small Business of the Year Award winners. The awards have two categories, Rural and Urban. The winners are:
Urban Small Business of the Year:
Aztera, LLC, located at 2102 N. Forbes Blvd. Aztera is 5-year-old technology development firm with 20 employees. Its team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers work with companies to develop novel technologies, build functional prototypes and create robust test equipment. Its CEO is Manny Teran.
Rural Small Business of the Year:
Bling by Design, A home-based business in Vail. Bling by Design is a 3-year-old, full-service custom shirt making company with six employees. The company can do screen printing and embroidery and specializes in women’s wear, especially uniforms for cheerleading, dance and gymnastics teams. The company is owned by Sabrina Jarkowski.
