Simon P. Davis is the interim Chief with the Corona de Tucson fire department.

Chief Davis has served as the interim chief since July 1st, after the resignation of Chief Andy Watson. Chief Davis retired from the Green Valley Fire District July of 2014 and started his own consulting business assisting Fire Districts in management issues. Prior to that, he worked in emergency services in 1986 starting as an EMT Firefighter and working up the ranks becoming a District Fire Chief in 1996.

Chief Davis has been a certified paramedic and Fire Instructor trainer as well as holding numerous other professional fire certifications. He has also served as the Secretary for the Pima County Fire Chiefs Association as well as a member of both the Arizona and International Fire Chiefs Associations. He has been an Arizona Fire District Association board member since 2001 and currently serves as the Immediate Past President. The Association now represents 155 Fire Districts through the State.

On a personal note, Chief Davis was born in southwest England and at an early age moved (with his parents) to the country of Zambia, Southern Africa where his father worked in purchasing for copper and gold mining. He lived in Southern Africa until 1981 and then came to Tucson to attend the U of A, studying mining engineering. While attending the University, Chief Davis started volunteering as a firefighter and found the perfect career. He has been a certified rescue diver and dive instructor as well. Chief Davis resides in Green Valley with his wife of 30 years, Shirlei.
