Kelsey’s Shelf – Lady Midnight

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare tells the story of Emma’s life and search for the mystery of her parent’s deaths, five years after it occurred. This is the first book in a new Shadowhunter series by Clare called The Dark Artifices, and is an addition to her other two Shadow World based series, The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. Shadowhunters are half-angel, half human beings that were created by God to protect the human, or mundane, world from demons. Lady Midnight is a story that not only explores this incredible world, but also has beautiful writing that will leave you speechless and longing for the rest of the books in the Shadowhunter’s universe. Personally, I rated this book five stars and it is one of my most highly recommended books. Until next time, keep on reading!
