On January 10, 2020, the groundbreaking for the Old Vail Middle School Library was celebrated in front of special guests, Old Vail Middle School staff and students, Vail Governing Board members, and community members.

The timing of the Old Vail Middle School Library Groundbreaking and the construction of this new building was not lost on those in attendance.  The addition of the new building at Old Vail Middle School serves as promise fulfilled and a much-needed update to the oldest campus in the Vail School District.

The new library at Old Vail Middle School is becoming a reality thanks to the Vail Community and their support of the Bond in 2018.  The final design and overall improvements to the Old Vail Middle School campus is thanks to the hard work of the members of the Old Vail Middle School Library Committee.  The project is scheduled to be finished by June, in plenty of time for the start of the 2020-2021 School Year.
