Houghton over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks:
Work continues on this project. Crews have been working on the bridge deck. Concrete will be poured on top of the bridge to create the new roadway. Once completed, traffic will be switched over to the new bridge and the old bridge will be demolished.
I-10 and Wilmot Road:
Preparation work is underway way on this project to assemble and install the temporary bridge that will handle traffic while crews replace the driving surface (bridge deck). At this traffic interchange. I anticipate work to really ramp up after the holidays. Crews will begin placing the temporary concrete barrier wall soon. Speed reduction and lane restrictions will be needed. Stay alert and prepare to slow down.
