Boy Scout Troop 770 held an impressive Eagle Scout Court of Honor on March 11th when Scout Stephan Averill-Mittendorf was presented with his Eagle Scout Rank. This brought the total of Eagle Scouts from Troop 770 to 22. Stephan, son of Walter and Catherine Mittendorf, joined Troop 770 in 2008, following his Cub Scout years in Pack 770. Stephan has been an active participant in all phases of the troop having served most recently as Troop Guide and Senior Patrol Leader. As an Eagle Scout, Stephan will continue to guide and mentor Scouts in the troop as a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster.
Stephan is a member of the Order of the Arrow, and recently served on the staff for the National Youth Leadership Training session held at the Double V Scout Ranch in Tucson. For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Stephan worked with administrators and staff at the Vail Blended School. Together they formulated a plan to build a student friendly social area with trees and a planter for the garden club.
Stephan is a junior at Andrada High School and has a strong interest in electrical engineering. He knows that his Scouting experiences and training will serve as a valuable guide in his future vocation.

Scoutmaster Walter Mittendorf awards Stephan Averill-Mittendorf with his Eagle Scout Rank, while his mom looks on.

Proud parents, Walter and Catherine, with Stephan.
