Here’s the list of swimming pools near Vail for you and your family (as well as all the details you’ll need to get in without hassle).
Purple Heart Park

The closest pool to the Vail and Rita Ranch area is open May 28 – August 5. The pool has a stair entry into the shallow end of the pool. The maximum depth reaches six feet in the 25-yard lap swim area. There is also a grassy area and shade.
Daily admission to the pool is $2. Punch cards are available for $51 for city residents and $63 for the regular rate. Summer swim passes are $75 for city residents and $100 for the regular rate.
Clements Pool
8155 E. Poinciana Dr.

This is a year-round pool! It’s located between the East Campus of Pima Community College and Lincoln Park, which is just a short drive away from Vail. There is a beach entry, 25-yard competitive course with 7 lanes, diving area, water slide, shade, and a grassy area.
Daily admission to the pool is $2. Punch cards are available for $51 for city residents and $63 for the regular rate. Annual passes are available for $100 for city residents and $125 for the regular rate.
Ott Family YMCA
401 S. Prudence Road

This pool is open to members with a variety of activities. From lap swim and open swim hours to aerobics classes and board/slide times for the kids, there’s something for everyone here. Udall Swimming Pool
7200 E. Tanque Verde Rd
Tucson, AZ 85715
Although the Udall swimming pool is a about a half hour drive from Vail, it’s still frequented by many residents. That’s because they have an extended season, which means they are open from April 1 – November 9. There is a stair entry into the shallow end with the deep end used for diving and lap swim, most often. They have one meter and three meter diving boards. Bring an umbrella because shade is limited at this pool.
