The Greater Vail area is home to a wonderful cultural asset in The Vail Chorale, a non-auditioned community chorus that has been entertaining local audiences since 2011 with Fall and Spring concerts featuring jazz, pop and folk arrangements, Broadway tunes, Renaissance madrigals and classical gems.
The ensemble includes high school students along with adults of all ages, who enjoy the fun of singing in harmony. Audience members have noted the singers’ obvious joy and enthusiasm in performing.
In addition to scheduled concerts, The Vail Chorale appears at community events, such as the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Country Fair, and the Vail Preservation Society’s ‘Tis the Season holiday event.
With the departure of Chorale founder Fred Reinagel last year, the ensemble was fortunate to secure a new director, Brianna Petty, who led the Chorale’s Spring concerts this past April. Ms. Petty’s personal charm and musical sensibilities made for a smooth transition in leadership.
Choral singers of all musical skill levels are invited to join for the Fall 2017 season. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm beginning August 15th at Cienega High School, 12775 E. Mary Ann Cleveland Way, Room 218. Please contact thevailchorale@gmail.com and visit our website www.thevailchorale.org.
