The following people from Vail have graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. They have completed an intensive, eight week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airman 1st Class Tanner Merchen. Airman Merchen earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the husband of Courtney Merchen of Vail. He is also a 2011 graduate of Cienega High School.
Airman Hunter R. Goslin. Airman Hunter is a 2016 graduate of Vail Academy and High School, Tucson.
Airman Mark Kim. Airman Kim is a 2014 graduate of Empire High School. He earned an associate degree in 2016 from the University of Arizona.
