“The town hall will take residents in the unincorporated area of greater Vail through three phases,” said David Hook, President of Incorporate Vail Arizona (?)

The first is how the residents of the greater Vail area live now.

The second is what if we do nothing, led by Vice President MaRico Tippett.

For the third, the audience will travel down the road of what needs to be done before the final board decision of do we go or not, led by Consultant Bruce Wright, of The Wright Associates.
Wright was formerly the Associate Vice President for Tech Parks Arizona, at the University of Arizona, where he was responsible for the University of Arizona Science and Technology Park (UA Tech Park), UA Tech Park at the Bridges, and the Arizona Center for Innovation.

Armed with this information, neighbors will discuss two questions in a breakout session. The two questions are: What about Vail would you like to preserve, and secondly, what improvements would you like to see in the future Vail?

In making that final decision the board will take direction from what the residents have told us during the various meetings, along with the financial feasibility.

President Hook stated, “The town hall is structured for the board of directors to hear from the residents living in the unincorporated areas of greater Vail area, what they would like the future Vail to be. We will be listening throughout the town hall.”

Come November 12th, 2022, the Board of Directors will make a decision, determined by the will of the residents, as to whether to proceed or not proceed into the campaign phase. The decision will be made only after determining what areas wish to be a part, in order to establish boundaries and the financial feasibility. “Many of the income factors are determined by Arizona State formulas, based on population, such as Arizona Revenue Sharing and Transportation Funding, neither of which is available to our area because we are not incorporated,” said President Hook.

President Hook and the Board hope you will join your neighbors on August 17, 2022.
