Faces of Vail: Steve Pakus by Kimberly Crossland

Over twenty years ago, Steve Pakus lived in and met his wife, Patti, in Tucson. They soon moved up to Sedona, Arizona, but always had an urge to move back. Now, with two daughters and two grandchildren here, Steve, Patti, and their dog Sawyer are excited to have returned to the Sonoran Desert.

For the past two years, Patti had lived alone in Vail with Steve commuting every two to three weeks for a long weekend. This past Christmas he was able to finally move down and be here full time. Along with his family, he also brought his twenty years of experience as an electrician.

Steve Pakus recently opened his new business, Vail Electric. In Sedona, he owned Village Electric for 12 years and was voted “Best Electrician” numerous times. He grew using nothing but referrals from repeat customers. He’s now looking forward to building new friendships and connections here in Vail too.

When he’s not working as an electrician, Steve is hiking the local trails or making an annual trip to the Gem and Mineral Show. He is an army veteran who served in the Gulf War. Welcome to Vail, Steve!
