Whether you’re a frequent golfer, an occasional golfer or a pretend golfer, reserve October 29th for Greater Vail Community Resources annual fundraising tournament at Del Lago Golf Course. As always, proceeds from this event go directly to fund Resources Vail Food Bank and its programs which serve local families, students and the homebound. Enjoy a beautiful October morning competing with friends and test your abilities (or luck) at several skill holes and game holes.
Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing lunch and the awards program on the patio. The four-person scramble format makes it easy for golfers of all levels to play as a team in either the First Responders Division or the Open Division and, of course, there will be a mulligans and raffle tickets available for purchase. The cost per golfer is $115 and includes cart, range balls, goodie bag and lunch. This is a call for golfers to muster your foursomes and register online by October 23rd at the ReSources website: www.resourcesvail.org

Maybe you’re not a golfer but would like to support the food bank with a sponsorship—the key to the financial success of golf tournaments. Three levels of sponsorships are available and also can be arranged via the website before October 14th. The top tier “Big 18” sponsorship level entitles the donor to a free foursome in the tournament among other things.

The current economic environment and food costs have hit Vail area households hard and increased demand at Resources Vail Food Bank by over 50% compared to this same time last year. It’s a serious struggle for many families—a struggle that is new for some and ongoing for others. At the same time food costs for our food bank have risen proportionately. Within this context, proceeds raised through 2022 ReSources Golf Challenge will be even more important in helping our nonprofit to address food insecurity among our neighbors. Join us on October 29th and play for a great cause!
