Patriot Internal Medicine is a new medical practice located at 9356 E. Rita Road, Suite 140 in Tucson owned and operated by Helene Henager, Nurse Practitioner. We provide routine and acute care; specialized care for patients with chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes; and well women’s care.

Patriot Internal Medicine serves adult patients from all walks of life and earns its name by honoring our nation’s veterans.  Helene is a veteran as are many of her patients and her waiting room is a red, white, and blue tribute to veterans. There you’ll find her growing collection of veterans’ photos as well as the history of the 4th Marine Division that fought in World War II and suffered such massive casualties in the Korean War that the designation of 4th Marine Division was retired in their memory.

Helene earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Arizona and completed the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at the University of San Diego. She has more than 20 years of experience providing an ever-increasing level of healthcare to patients, including home health, hospital settings, and primary care, including more than eight years as a trauma Nurse Practitioner. She is a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse and past president of the American Association of Diabetes Educators in Alaska.

As a primary care provider, Patriot Internal Medicine strives to provide patient-centric healthcare. We listen to each patient’s unique symptoms to provide individualized health care, pursue excellence, and exceed patient expectations. Our goals are to educate patients on appropriate preventive medicine and guide them to a healthy lifestyle; advocate for patient health and wellness, work together with patients to make it easy for patients to get care, and establish trust through honesty, confidentiality, compassion, and transparency; and provide a supportive and encouraging environment to meet each patient’s individual needs.
