Thank you for printing the article, The Dangers of Pet Suffocation. As a follow-up, please tell your readers that another serious danger is waxed-cardboard milk cartons. Sometimes other foods come in these same shapes, even dog treats. Many years ago we nearly lost one of our dogs to a milk carton. Had we not arrived home when we did, he would likely have died. Even so, a strong suction had built up. Ever since then, we have always crushed any kind of container that might pose a hazard. I had never thought about chip bags; thanks for the suggestion to cut one side.
Thankful my dog survived.
