To the editor:
I’m a junior at Cienega, and I know for sure that Vail needs a new high school. At Cienega, nearly all of my classes are overcrowded. In my Spanish class, there are 42 students; the school had to bring in extra desks to the classroom to fit everyone. While Cienega is a great school, it is so filled that it is making students and teachers uncomfortable, and overcrowding is impacting my ability to learn.
In my opinion, it is critical that we build a new high school for the students in Vail. My mom served on the bond proposal committee, and she is confident that the school district and community worked hard to find fiscally responsible solutions. Please vote YES on Proposition 468. Vail students are depending on you.
