Houghton/I-10 Interchange
Crews have completed the switch of all the on and off ramps. Work continues the bridge structure where crews have poured the concrete bridge deck. This will be the final surface for the new roadway. Crews will work on the new Houghton roadway to complete the final pieces of the road infrastructure. Once this is complete preparations will start to switch traffic to the new bridge. Crews will then demolish the old Houghton bridge. This should occur sometime in late June. Reminder that the speed limit is 25 MPH in the work zone. Lane closures may occur on the interstate as crews finalize this phase of construction.

Houghton/Valencia to Mary Ann Cleveland
Crews have been busy on this project. Utility work and storm drain work is under way. Dirt is also being hauled in from Houghton Towne Center to bring the new roadway up to specifications. Work on box culverts and traffic lighting will be ongoing along Houghton. The new traffic lights are being installed along Rita Rd. Stay alert and remember that speed limits are 25 MPH.

Houghton/I-10 to Pantano High School
Plans are underway to widen Houghton Rd from I-10 to Pantano High School.
This $30,000.000 project is in design status by Psoma/Borderland Construction. The new roadway will be 4 lanes with two lanes in each direction. A separate multi use path will also be installed. Construction is planned to begin in the second half of 2021. Stay tuned for future updates.

Mary Ann Cleveland (MAC) Sewer Rehabilitation
Work is underway to rehabilitate all the manholes for the Pima County sewer system along Mary Ann Cleveland Rd. This work will occur from Cienega High School to Approximately Atterbury Wash Rd. Crews will also be doing work in the neighborhoods. Red Iron Trail has been marked out for excavation. Barricades have been put up along the work area on MAC, please slow down and share the road with the many bicyclist that use this road daily. More work will be added as needed.
