Houghton/I-10 Interchange
The new bridge and roadway are coming along nicely. Crews are connecting the new ramps to the bridge. Painting of the bridge structure is nearly complete. Several traffic shifts will take place during the month of September to allow crews to place the traffic signals and complete work along the middle of the bridge. Completion is set for Fall of this year.
Houghton/Valencia to Mary Ann Cleveland
Crews have begun to place the subgrade for the new Northbound roadway along Houghton. Electrical and drainage improvements are progressing along the roadway. Traffic signal installation is underway at Rita Rd. Speed limits are 25 MPH. Please slow down and pay attention.
South Houghton Rd/I-10 to Pantano High School
This project is well underway. Crews completed a concrete pour on 9/10/2021.
Underground utility work is also underway. Speed limits along Houghton have been reduced to 25 MPH. It has been mentioned that a lot of motorist are not following this speed limit. Please remember all of these construction crews are working to improve your daily travels and also would like to make it home to their families every night. Please slow down!
All hands on deck on the South Houghton Road Widening Project as crews form RCBC and place steel ahead of the concrete pour.
