The Vail Education Foundation is pleased to announce it has been selected as a recipient of the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona Harriet Silverman Small Grant Fund. The fund invests in small, grassroots organizations in Southern Arizona that exemplify the vision of the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona. The funding will allow the Vail Education Foundation to expand learning opportunities in robotics and coding for girls and young women within the Vail School District.
The Vail Education Foundation board of directors is greatly appreciative of the Vail Academy Boxer Bots 1828 leadership team who assisted with a presentation to the selection committee. The Boxer Bots leadership team demonstrated a robot the team had built for a previous competition, and answered questions about how hands-on experiences with robotics and coding influences their higher learning and career decisions.
