Ed Kimsey is this month’s Greater Vail Area Chamber of Commerce business spotlight member. He’s also a Vail resident. I had a chance to chat with Ed briefly. Now you get to go behind-the-scenes in that interview and learn more about your neighbor and local Financial Advisor.

Ed Kimsey has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He holds a CRPC (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor) certification from the College for Financial Planning. He and his lovely wife, Michelle have lived in Vail since 2004 and are proud decade-long residents.

1. What made you choose to make your home in Vail?

We love the remote lifestyle and the beauty of Rincon Valley.

2. What is it about financial planning that you love the most?

I enjoy helping people pursue their goals.

3. When it comes to financial planning, do you have any tips on where should people start?

It’s important that people start by defining their goals and creating a comprehensive plan.

4. What made you rejoin the Chamber of Commerce?

The recent education and marketing opportunities brought me back.

5. Final question: When people come to visit you and April, where’s the first place you take them?

We love taking them to the Desert Museum.

Ed welcomes your call for help with retirement planning, investments, and other financial matters.

Congratulations, Ed for being the Greater Vail Area Chamber of Commerce Business Spotlight member of the month!
