My neighbor, Sharon Fields, who lost her husband a year ago, yesterday, put out a table in front of her home with homemade cookies, Lemonade, and (if you can believe it) a birdseed ornament she made all herself! The note on her Facebook page read: “You, my friends and neighbors, have been so kind and generous over this painful last year. Your considerations and compassion have helped more than you can possibly imagine. As inadequate a gesture as it is, please help yourself to come cookies and lemonade, Also, take a birdseed ornament if you like.” This gesture is a testament to the great neighbors I have in Civano and how we all support each other. Sharon, you’re not alone! – Audrey Moeller.
Thank you to the Navy Veteran (Boiler Tech), who stopped when I was on the side of the road with a flat tire, for giving me a plug so I could inflate the tire and get back on the road. – Mike Lavelle
To the cashier at Quikmart on E. Fort Lowell Road and N. Mountain Avenue, who was kind enough to pay for my stuff so I didn’t have to walk all the way home and grab my card, thank you! You have no idea how much it means to me. It’s not weird, or interesting that he did this; it’s just beautiful to see in a world filled with hate. – Sarah Jane McGinnis
